Managing inventory across multiple eCommerce platforms is a complex task—especially when you’re dealing with product listings on Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and others all at once. To simplify this, ForgeMind Software Solutions developed a centralized desktop application for an Australian client that streamlines the entire process.
This desktop app, built using C# and .NET Framework with PostgreSQL at its core, connects to all major sales channels. Whenever a product is sold on one platform, the inventory is automatically adjusted on the rest, preventing overselling and reducing manual work. It also fetches all order data in real time, prints shipping labels, and integrates directly with AusPost.
One of the advanced features we implemented is OCR using Tesseract to extract data like barcodes and product codes from images. The software can remove backgrounds from product images, apply branded templates, and even perform competitor analysis to provide strategic pricing insights. Built-in crawlers using Selenium help collect relevant content and YouTube videos to enhance listings.
This project showcases how intelligent automation can save hours of work every day and boost operational efficiency. With customized reporting and support for bulk actions, our client has turned a once chaotic system into a streamlined, scalable solution.
